Love in the time of corona....
How many people do you think have used that title?
It's a crazy time for us right now. Who would have thought that toilet paper would be the hot commodity of March 2020? And that we'd all be alternately scared to death, and showing up like total badasses for each other? Keep 6 feet between you and all other people, and send out notices to your older neighbors that you'll happily go shop for them so they can stay safe. Times like these bring out the worst and the very best of us.
Many of us are digging deep and thinking, "What can I share with others that will benefit the world?" Musicians are sharing mini-live concerts. Healers are creating online meditations. Actors are reading books to children remotely. A young woman in my neighborhood offered to run errands for older / immune compromised folks nearby. In the midst of all of this turmoil, we are finding such love and community.
Every Monday night at 8:30pm ET, our (formerly) Marianne Williamson for President support group comes together to talk about how to harness love for political purposes. This Monday, it feels like the right thing to do is to come together to talk about what gifts we have to share with each other. We are one huge, loving, amazing, giving, talented, open group....and my perception is that we all want to do what we can to be of use to each other. Isn't that the coolest thing ever?
Yes, this virus sucks royally, AND we are doing our best to be good to each other.
So much love to you, my friends. Let's do this together.
