I had an awesome conversation with a friend tonight. We were discussing mindsets and learning. One thread we both noticed is that whether we're talking about therapeutic sessions or teaching a first grade math class, listening is vital.
It's so easy to fill space with our preconceived notions of "the right way to do it". Granted, we are some pretty smart chicks, but we both know we don't know everything. Which is something.
My goal for the rest of the week will be to pause and listen when I'm in conversation. To allow for space and a bit of silence. Join me if you'd like. Namaste!
