Lorie is passionate about healing. Beginning with counseling and spiritual experiences at a very
early age, Lorie recognized firsthand the healing merits of
of a loving, accepting healing presence outside of herself.
After four years of service in the Army Intelligence Corps,
Lorie embarked on her academic career, with an
emphasis on giving back to, and helping to heal others.
Lorie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology
from Ottawa University, and Associate of Arts Degree in
Chemical Dependency Counseling from Maricopa College.
After working in with women and children in domestic violence
shelters, and adolescents with abuse and/or behavioral issues,
she made the leap to healing at energetic levels
rather than focusing on fixes that covered, but not healed,
the core issues.
Realizing that she wanted more joy and fulfillment
in her own life, as well as the opportunity to help others find
their path to fulfillment, Lorie sought out teachers and healers.
In 1990, she experienced the power of energy healing and Reiki,
and has been delving into healing methodologies ever since.
The peace and wellness that enveloped her life after her first
Reiki attunement made her a true believer in the benefits of
energy healing.
Lorie is a Polarity Therapy graduate of The Palmer Institute
of Massage and Bodywork in Salem, Massachusetts, an Advanced
Emotional Freedom Technique practitioner, a Reiki Master and a
member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).
Lorie has personally experienced many bodywork & energy healing
modalities, including yoga, Breath Meditation, Massage, Shiatsu,
Therapeutic Touch, the Alexander Technique, acupuncture, imagery
and energy healing. She is a student of metaphysics and a lover of
the arts, nature and children...and people as they are at their core.
Working with clients, Lorie relies on subtle body cues and careful
listening to tailor the healing experience to their unique preferences
and needs. She employs a range of techniques from gentle touch
to intense, deep tissue work. While Lorie has a loyal following of clients
who have been with her from the beginning, she also welcomes,
and particularly enjoys, working with people for whom energy healing
is a new experience. Lorie's greatest joy is in the sense of well-being,
peace, and empowerment experienced by her clients.
